Into the deep blue beyond...

Here we go...

Hi All - in terms of an intro for my blog, I am in the process of writing a book - shout out to the amazing people and workshops from Hay House Publishing for online guidance and inspiration as I begin this journey.

The songs I write, short stories essentially are the fabric of my life, what's happening for me and my reflections and what comes to me in words and music. I will be posting videos of songs through my Acoustic Sessions series and chatting about each work to add some additional understanding.

As a 48 year old guy, blessed with 2 beautiful girls 11 and 7, life is as simple as can be and this is our place in the world in Western Australia, by the sea, playing music, laughing, singing, playing, living life and diving into the deep blue beyond...

And I See You There

Original Gray Acoustic Sessions

Produced by Lauren Fleay from Hand Made Productions

Guy and his guitar, girl and her camera, live one take wonders... (just add candles!)

"And I See You There, is a voyage of self-acceptance, that what can appear broken is in fact healing our shattered illusions that lasted for so long. When silence and space appears, we can hear truth whispering to us at first, and then a beautiful conversation of remembrance of self is allowed to happen. I have come to realise that songs I've written to reach others are often to reach me." Original Gray

And I See You There

No words can heal what isn’t broken

We’ve all paused and in the space we’re listening open

Today’s learning in silence being spoken is truth

And I see you there

Time can’t mend what’s already whole

Bits and pieces of a heart far from cold

The warmth of a love both young and old

And I see you there

Talk to me, about this love

One moment turns back the clock

For these old souls needed such a shock

One touch alone and in the clearing all seemed lost

And I see you there...

Superhero

Original Gray Acoustic Sessions

Produced by Lauren Fleay from Hand Made Productions

Guy on keys, girl and her camera, live one take wonders (black 'n' white...)

"Superhero has so many visuals in today's Marvel and DC world and could also be applied too professions like first responders, fire, ambulance, police, doctors and nurses and those who put themselves in harms way for others like the military, but the song is about being a parent, as parents are the first superheroes, the first responders that kids lean on, number 1 in their eyes. Our kids see everything, they know so much more than we often think they do and the wisdom they share is powerful but they are still our children and need us, and when they call our name, it means we're their goto person to fix a problem, get the band aid, and make things right. When your child says mummy or daddy, writes you a note, draws you a picture, hugs in close at night and says I love you, that right there is the reason above all else. Life presents challenges and we just need to show up and when you've put them first, above all, you're a superhero!" Original Gray

Superhero

In those moments you find yourself all alone

Enjoy the quiet although it’s not naturally worn

As there’s a calling for you to come

For you to be someone

Go save the day

In your superhero way

Go save the day

It’s just the price we have to pay

To live our lives as earth angels

As those in need call out our names

We walk towards burning flames

Go save the day

In your superhero way

Go save the day

And there are times when things crash down

You hold it up like Atlas crowned

Your strengths, a gift, your superpower

Superheroes they don’t run

Superheroes it just takes one

And I’ll be here when you return

To hold you close, and heal your burns

To listen if your courage fails

To be the wind to fill your sails

Go save the day

In your superhero way

Go save the day
